Darkest Before Dawn

My credit cards are maxed out, I already have a loan that I am paying back, my bank account is dwindling, and I am still positive and sure that I am going to succeed at vaporizing my debt. I have blocked my schedule and am working as hard and as efficiently as I can every minute of the day.

I got to work this morning and found out that I cannot do any more work until I pay for a computer on my credit card. I do not have ANY room on my credit card. I do not know what I am going to do.

I have the overwhelming feeling that I am going to have to declare bankruptcy. I absolutely refuse to let this keep me down, and I will continue to meet new clients and new potential clients and still want to get rid of this debt the honest way, but shit is this hard...

Simple

Wow. This one is easy, not to mention a no brainer. I went to the mall near my house with my daughter yesterday and as I pulled into the parking space and got out of the car, I noticed a purse on the ground. I checked out the car and looked around, but nothing. There was nobody even around. So I broke the rule that I have been taught since I was a child (not to go into a woman's purse) and pulled out the check book that had the phone number of the lady who lost the purse. I called and was greeted with sighs of relief. Apparently she had been changing her child's diaper while preventing her other toddler from running around a parking lot. It was absolutely chaotic and they were so glad that I found it.

Of course I would have returned the purse regardless of whether or not I had this blog, or the site, but it is nice to be able to announce it the day after I started this. The gentleman offered to buy me dinner or something of that nature, but I declined. I did give him a business card and offered to become his financial advisor though... It was a shameless plug, but I figured that I already had built up a little bit of trust.

The beginning

Fresh off the launch of the site I have been searching out people to help. On my way to purchase groceries today, I saw a gentleman walking in the rain. I stopped the car and asked if he needed a ride. Reginald is his name, and at first he was a bit skeptical, looking around before finally saying yes. I drove him about 3 miles to the bus stop that he was going to in order to get to a job interview. As it turned out, he was late getting out the door and was worried that he would be late for the interview. He thanked me profusely for helping him, and tried to give me some money for the task, but I declined. I gave him my business card in hopes that he will call me and I can follow up to see if he got the job. I hope to hear from him. I already am so glad that I have this blog.

Help Chris Save America

I am launching this site today and am mentally prepared to deal with everything that will come with it. I look forward to the responses and I hope that this will be a positive experience. Further, my hope is that if nothing else, this will help inspire others to recognize that helping strangers is something that is inspiring and will be passed on by those who received the help. Paying it forward is how we can help change America.

Thank you all for visiting my site/blog. I truly appreciate your time and am happy to help anybody who needs it. Simply ask me. Thank You.
